First African Community Development Corporation in its partnership with The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta assist clients in receiving free furniture and household goods from The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta. Individuals & families moving out of homelessness, low income, living with HIV/AIDS, or fleeing domestic violence are eligible for this program. If you are in need of furniture please contact First African CDC to see if you qualify. Please note that you will not be able to get an appointment for furniture from the Furniture Bank unless you are accepted as a client for service(s) from First African CDC. Once you are accepted into our program clients can then choose between the following two types of appointments:

(1) Curbside Delivery ($100-$150 Fee): Client picks out items and the items are delivered to their curb the same day. Client is responsible for the necessary labor to move items inside their apartment/house.
(2) In-Home Delivery In-Home Delivery ($200-$250): Client picks out items and the items are delivered inside their home the following day. Delivery DOES NOT include furniture set up. |
The Furniture Bank delivers within 50 miles of its warehouse. This encompasses all of Fulton, Cobb, DeKalb, Gwinnett and Clayton counties, and parts of Henry, Cherokee, Douglas, Rockdale, Coweta, and Paulding counties.
Locations that are more than 25 miles away but within the 50 miles have an additional $50 fee for the extended distance.
